SS26
INTO THE BLUE
Blue is a powerful colour. In the real world, it is practical, stylish and flattering to the skin whilst culturally it symbolises calmness, peace and, most significantly for HANSEN, trust. Whether this is trusting our instincts, our expertise or our relationships, belief in ourselves and others has never been more important. It makes sense then that for SS26, HANSEN centres the collection around multiple shades of blue.
Navy is the foundation of HANSEN tailoring this season - a rich base that offers the framework to everyday dressing. Three button blazers in variable yarn-dyed cotton have the ease of workwear and the elegance of Italian fabrication whilst stand collared jackets in rugged canvas have a more rustic approach. True to a summer season, very lightweight ‘parachute’ cotton poplin in jet black rendered in loose pants, unlined blazers and Japanese workwear-inspired jackets have an urban appeal as do the same styles in an indigo dobby stripe. For those seeking a real sense of classic sophistication, linen suits in black or ecru have a debonair attitude.
Casual wear is always central to the HANSEN aesthetic. A classic western jeans jacket and baggy jeans are reimagined in Japanese sashiko-inspired jacquard and raw bull twill is worked into rugged yet easy jackets. Italian cotton herringbone, meanwhile, is soft and pliable in over-shirts whilst fine twill makes retro gym style shorts and trackpants. Shirts play with textures in hues of blue, green and grey ranging from gingham and ripstop to fluid gauze and rustic horizontal stripes created by multiple yarns. Finally, for those rainy summer evenings, a flash of orange in the form of a waxed cotton coat adds a jolt of brightness to the shades of blue.
